Huanyu Zhao is the Senior Vice President at Virogin Biotech. In this role, Huanyu is responsible for leading the corporate strategy development for both oncolytic virus and mRNA-based therapeutics, establishing global partnerships and spearheading the execution of business development activities.

Prior to joining Virogin, Huanyu was representing Livzon Pharmaceutical in North America and led the execution of several licensing and strategic investment deals. Huanyu also spent several years in academic institutes to support biotech startups on their fund raising and business strategy along with facilitation of partnerships with pharmaceutical companies.

Huanyu graduated from Columbia University with a doctoral degree in Chemistry and was trained at a postdoctoral scholar in small-molecule drug development. Huanyu obtained her Master of Business Administration in Finance and Strategy at Emory University.
